Summer Thirst Quenchers - how our vignerons are keeping cool this summer!

We asked our local vignerons for their thirst-quenching top drops this Summer holidays!

Summer in Orange is heating up, and whether you're taking a refreshing dip at Mount Canobolas, soaking up the shade under a tree at a local winery or catching a breeze on the slopes of Mount Canobolas, you'll need a thirst-quencher to get you through those long, hot afternoons! We asked our local vignerons how they’re keeping cool this January!

 

  • Brangayne 2018 Rose, a ‘love-potion’ made from hand-picked Shiraz grapes, in a beautiful pale pink dry style with plenty of flavour including strawberry, raspberry and red cherry. This is a standout favourite at the Cellar Door during summer!
  • Stockman’s Ridge 2011 ‘Storm’ Sparkling, produced using 98% Chardonnay and 2% Pinot Meunier, with a harmony of Pineapple, Guava, fresh cut citrus and hints of green apple ending in complex toasty notes. Winner of 1 Trophy, 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze.
  • Nashdale Lane ‘the social’ Rose uses hand-picked and crushed grapes, and is delicate and dry with subtle notes of strawberry & a smooth, savoury finish. Winner of a Gold medal at the 2018 Orange Wine Show and Bronze medal at the National Wine Show.
  • See Saw Prosecco, the only Prosecco planted in Orange and boy is it thriving! Bubbly, bright, fresh and lively, it’s the perfect summertime fizz!
  • Cumulus 2018 Luna Rosa Rosado, an award-winning Portuguese style rose that is fresh and fragrant with aromas of raspberry, strawberry & cherry fruits. A light and crisp wine with savoury red fruit characteristics.
  • Rowlee 2018 Rose, vibrant salmon pink hue with delicate notes of strawberries and cream. The palate bursts with strawberries and cherries. Savoury, with a mouth-wateringly crisp and dry finish.
  • Tamburlaine 2017 Orange Reserve Merlot, dark cherry, spiced plum and red berry aromas. A concentrated palate of rich fruitcake and dried herb characters, complemented by soft tannins – and Vegan friendly!
  • Badlands Brewery JAXON Red IPA, fresh from winning a Silver medal at this years' Independent Brewery Awards Badlands JAXON red ipa has made it to cans.  Purchase the freshest hop/malt bomb going with flavours of grapefruit, melon, bubble gum and passionfruit coming throuhg but rounded out by a robust bitterness.
