Festival Winds - Guest Ensemble
Festival Winds invites some of Australia's most exciting wind players to Orange, to prepare an exciting program highlighting woodwind instruments, its versatility and virtuosity.
Local Artist David Shaw (pictured), together with Lloyd Van’t Hoff and Matthew Kneale from Melbourne and Frank Giraldo, straight from the Simon Bolivar Orchestra of Venezuela, are to embark on a full schedule of workshops for local students, talks and demonstrations, as well as main features in two special programs, one side to side with the students of the Orange Regional Conservatorium Chamber Academy, as the characters of the tale Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev, and the other as a stand alone featured ensemble concert.
This project was made possible with the assistance of the Orange Regional Arts Foundation and the Orange Regional Conservatorium.
