Checking the weather...

A wonderfully unique way for families to experience country living in Orange NSW and its surrounding villages is with a farmstay experience.

Disconnect and discover the joys of living simply - walk a country lane, pick fresh fruit, or simply marvel at a canopy of stars on a cloudless night. Children will love the thrill of collecting freshly laid eggs, grooming a horse or learning to milk a cow.

A delightful alternative to more traditional forms of Orange accommodation, the farmstay experience ranges from rustic stays where you can help muster a herd of cattle or try your hand at campfire cooking, to more refined experiences involving good food and wine.

Most farmstays encourage guests to participate in the day-to-day activities of running a farm however there is just as much emphasis on simply relaxing and soaking up the country atmosphere.

Dairy Park is a working farm set in the picturesque rolling hills of the central tablelands of NSW Australia. There are three self-contained, unique, separate units: The Cabin, Thummy Jacks, and the Shearers Hut.

Visit Dairy Park and reconnect to where your food is produced. Get hands on, or just join your hosts and watch how it's done.

There is a tennis court and swimming pool for your use, or just enjoy the peace and quiet. It is a great base for exploring the Bathurst, Orange and Cowra districts or stay at Dairy Park on the way to the Dubbo zoo.
Carcoar is only ten minutes away, with three museums, and a main street where time stood still. Great cafes to eat in as well as Tomolly, for great house hold collectables.
Visit Mayfield garden at Oberon on your way to Dairy Park.
