The Orange Wine Festival is the region's opportunity to celebrate its thriving wine and food culture and quality cool-climate wines, unique to the region.

Orange Wine Festival Night Market

FRIDAY 30 SEPTEMBER

A wine and food market not to be missed. Join our winemakers and vignerons as they showcase their award-winning cool climate wines from the Orange Wine Region. All paired with the finest cuisine prepared by our clever chefs and cooks, with a focus on the provenance of local produce. Set in stunning Robertson Park, relax to the sound of local music with family and friends at long communal tables. Children’s catering and activities on site. Ticket bookings required.

Introducing a new experience at Swinging Bridge in our new cellar door! A combination of viticulture, fine wine, and locally sourced produce will elevate your understanding of the Orange Wine Region. This wine tasting includes a vineyard tour, an in depth look at all of our wines, and a multi course lunch to elevate the wines.

Sparkling Masterclass


ALL FESTIVAL: Thurs to Sat

An immersive journey uncovering the art of traditional method sparkling. Start with a guided walking tour of the vineyard followed by a private tasting of the Swift range including 10yr old Sparklings. Gain a rare insight into the process of creating one of Australia’s finest sparkling brands. Then settle in for a degustation lunch at Printhie Dining with matching wines.

Every Thursday to Saturday during the Wine Festival except for Saturday 22 October.

Sunset Walk and Talk



ALL FESTIVAL : TUES & THURS

Take a tour with the vigneron James Sweetapple, through a EOV certified holistic managed vineyard and winery - tasting the wines in the vineyard. Learn why and how his methods have been perfected over 25 years to produce the wines you love.

These tours will be held on every Tuesday and Thursday of the Festival. (subject to numbers)

An intimate evening showcasing the best of our region’s local produce in a degustastion dinner prepared by chef Richard Learmonth alongside Mayfield Vineyard's new release wines and some very special museum wines, hosted by our Mayfield owners & viticulturist. 

The evening will be an insight into the ‘heart’ of Mayfield Vineyard - our history, our vision and our winemaking ethos.

NRL Grand Final @ Mortimers

SUNDAY 2 OCTOBER

Mortimer's Wines are presenting an NRL Grand Final experience like no other. The March Schoolhouse Cellar Door will be the best place outside Accor Stadium to watch the game with 5m LED TV’s, live music, raffles and an NRL guest player panel consisting of Greg Bird, David Gillespie, Trent Hodkinson & more.

The old March Schoolhouse will open its doors again for our “Wine School”. Join Peter & Daniel Mortimer as we swirl, smell and taste our way through a variety of wines, comparing local wines to others around the world. Our interactive workbook will assist you as we identify & analyse the intricacies of wine aromas & flavours.

From Vine to Wine @ Nashdale Lane Wines

SATURDAY 8 & 15 OCTOBER

Nashdale Lane invites wine lovers on a unique in-vine tasting. A journey from vineyard to winemaking paired with light food on the vineyard.

 'From Vine to Wine' will take you on a unique journey through the life cycle of a wine - from early beginnings on the vineyard through to winemaking and to the end into the bottle. Guests will be taken on a personalised tour of Nashdale Lane’s private 60-acre estate, taste single vineyard red and white wines and finish with a light lunch.

Explore the Classics with Colmar Estate

A walk through the Altitude of Wine. What better place than the cool climate of Orange to tell the story of the role of ‘Altitude’ in grape growing and wine production. You will walk around the picturesque Lake Canobolas stopping at wine and food stations along the way, culminating at the lakeside for music, more wine and food. Ticket price includes return bus transport from the Orange CBD.
