Eugowra - Orange 360

Welcome to Eugowra

Eugowra, NSW, is a picturesque town located along the banks of Mandagery Creek and serves as the heart of bushranger country. Nearby, at Escort Rock, the notorious Frank Gardiner and his gang executed the largest gold robbery in Australian history, stealing 77 kilograms of gold and £3,700 in cash. The locals of Eugowra have celebrated their unique history with vibrant murals throughout the town.

As the gateway to Nangar National Park, Eugowra makes a great base for exploring nearby natural treasures. The area features rugged granite boulders, red gums, and stringybarks, providing a stunning backdrop for picnics, camping, and bushwalking. It is also rich in native wildlife, including various birds such as parrots, eagles, and falcons. Other scenic spots to visit include Back Yamma State Forest, Mandagery Creek, and the Lachlan River.
