A four-day curated and hosted travel experience by train from Sydney to Orange over the June long weekend, recreating the infamous Ben Hall bushranger gang’s epic 1863 takeover of a local pub in the historic village of Canowindra.
Tour includes a private screening of 'The Legend of Ben Hall' at heritage art-deco Amusu theatre in the village of Manildra; dinner and wine-tasting in a woolshed on a vineyard; a full day guided bushranger tour of the historic village of Canowindra, including a cellar door visit and lunch as well as walking tour of the village, Bald Hill Lookout, the Croote Cottage hideout in Goolagong and scene of the gang's most daring escapade at Eugowra Rocks; a pub lock-in with the bushrangers for an evening of food, wine and music; visits to the historic goldrush-era villages of Millthorpe and Carcoar for boutique shopping, devonshire tea and a pub lunch; cellar door visits; free time to explore cafes and boutiques of Orange; welcome and farewell lunches.
