Your Easter Holiday Guide to the Orange Region

Looking for activities to keep the kids busy this Easter? We’ve got you covered!

Easter is the perfect time to explore the great outdoors and Orange is the perfect place to do that. Wandering the streets of Orange in autumn is breathtaking. The air is cool and crisp and you will definitely need to don your favourite scarf and jacket that you’ve rescued in anticipation from the back of the cupboard. Gold, red and brown leaves blanket the streets creating magical scenes and cozy vibes.

Pack up the bikes and take the kids to explore part of the Orange Villages Bicycle Trail, a 360km loop of Mount Canobolas, the trail is in six sections so you can easily navigate a section of the trail with older kids and stop in at a local pub for a hearty lunch to fuel your journey. Experience the Mount Canobolas high country as you venture into the surrounding countryside and experience the Central West rolling landscapes at their picturesque best.

If you prefer to stick to walking, we’ve plenty of Parks, Gardens and Reserves to be enjoyed! Our regions produce also shines the brightest in Autumn so why not take the family and  explore our map of Farm Gates where you can pick your own fresh produce or shop at one of the local farm gates, direct from the farmers themselves!

If the weather has you confined to the car, Sculpture by the Bush in the Blayney Shire can be enjoyed from your seat. A trail of farm art, scarecrows and hay bale art that dot the region and delight those that discover them.

With Easter and ANZAC Day public holidays impacting trading hours, we've also put together lists of holiday trading hours for both Cellar Doors and Restaurants to help you plan your visit.
