In Stillness brings together two very different artistic voices, Joy Engelman and Chris Anderson, united by a shared love of the Australian landscape and the quiet moments found within it.

For both artists, the landscape is about so much more than what we see. It's about the feeling of being there — the light shifting across the mountains, the vastness of the outback, the textures, colours and marks left behind by time, weather and water. Chris captures the atmosphere and changing light of the local and outback terrain, while Joy draws on more than five decades of journeys through the arid heart of Australia, translating her deep connection to country through painting and photography.

Together, their work invites us to slow down, take a breath and really look. To leave the noise of everyday life behind for a moment and become completely immersed in the stillness, beauty and quiet power of the Australian landscape.
